Teen Land Project
TEEN LAND PROJECT 2011-12: We will begin our second year of this innovative program for teens ages 13-17 running 9am-3pm on Thursdays or Fridays during the school year on the land at Goddard College in Plainfield. The teen program integrates with the Village School in a number of ways while still maintaining its important autonomy. A group of teens, guided by Angella Gibbons (and supported by EarthWalk Village School mentors, community Elders and guest specialists) come together each week to build the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to live sustainably with one another and the land, while co-creating projects to serve the greater community. Cost: 2011-12 Teen Land Project is $1,840, payable in one sum at the beginning of the year, or in 2 payments (first day and mid-year) New students can participate in a 4 week trial period for $200.
Scholarships: We have some scholarships available. We will do our best to distribute fairly to those families in need. For scholarship assistance, please fill out this application: 2011-12 Financial Assistance Application
Schedule and Calendar: TLP meets one full day a week, on Thursdays or Fridays, from 9am to 3pm. The school year calendar begins September 8th or 9th, respectively. The school year ends the first week of June in an overnight experience. Our calendar accommodates major school vacation weeks. EarthWalk Calendar 2011-12
